A 13th/14th-century scroll of the Book of Esther.

Queen Esther is our model of a courageous Queen. She was faced with a crisis, a plot to destroy a race, Esther 4:14b and it was in that crisis that her courage emerged and she saw the call of God.

Your courage will not emerge in a vacuum;that challenge you are confronted with today will serve as your gate way to becoming a Queen of courage like Esther. Yes, you may be ordinary, Queen Esther was an ordinary orphan that lived with an uncle! God is only asking for your obedience wherever you may be today and He will give you the courage that will make you take a position and stand in the gap for your family, children and your community.

We are encouraged by the faith and courage of Queen Esther. She was faced with a life threatening situation and she made a choice to step out in faith.

She did not see the whole puzzle neither did she understand how the King was going to react. She did one thing very profound as recorded in the book of Esther 4 v16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day–” Queen Esther depended and relied upon the power of God through prayers. She believed in the power of corporate prayer. Going into a situation like this can be terrifying to say the least. This is when courage rises up to replace the fear factor. Queen Esther allowed God to put the puzzle together with complete and total obedience. I encourage you today to take a cue from Queen Esther and rise up above that situation, circumstance and let the Queen in you manifest!
